Please join NECASP for Neurodivergent-Affirming Practices for School Psychologists on Tuesday, November 28th from 1 - 4:30 pm with Dr. Amy Merenda. 

Workshop will be offered in person at PCOE's Seavey Center - 655 Menlo Drive, Rocklin CA 95765 OR virtually via Zoom. Registrants who are unable to attend live on 11/28 will have access to the Zoom recording until 12/28/23. CEUs are available for a $25 processing fee. 

Fee: $35 for NECASP (and other CASP-affiliate members) and $50 for non-members. CEUs are available through CASP for an additional $25 processing fee. 

Workshop Description: As an educator whose role is to provide those with exceptional needs additional support and services under special education eligibility, there is no one who should embrace a neurodiversity affirming lens more than a school psychologist! Our expertise, training, and responsibilities align directly with the mindset of accepting and embracing the uniqueness of each and every brain. You will leave this presentation with the background and understanding of how to apply a neurodiversity affirming lens throughout the entire assessment process. Participants are encouraged to utilize an open mindset and self-reflection throughout this presentation to ensure respect, value, and opportunity are given to uplift neurodivergent voices and perspectives.

Presenter Information: Amy Merenda, Ed.D., LEP is a school psychologist in Northern California. Amy has been a school psychologist for five years and currently supports one elementary schools. Amy is passionate about neurodiversity affirming practices, positive psychology, and supporting other school psychologists. In her free time, Amy loves taking walks with her dog, reading murder mystery novels, and spending time with her family.

This course meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit for LEPs, LPCCs, LMFTs, and LCSWs. This course also qualifies for 3 hours of continuing professional development for Nationally Certified School Psychologists, under provider number 1025. The California Association of School Psychologists maintains responsibility for the program and its content.
