Understand recent research regarding COVID-related academic learning loss as well as the impact of COVID on the mental health of students.
Reviewing academic, mental health and behavioral resources that can be used in a prereferral manner prior to a referral for special education consideration
Reviewing academic data collection methods that can be used in addition to norm-referenced standardized data (WJ-IV-ACH, WIAT-4, etc.).
Reviewing sample interviewing questions to obtain information from teachers, parents, and students to help determine the impact of COVID and distance learning on current academic functioning.
Exclusionary factors documentation suggestions for psychoeducational reports regarding review of records, interview and input information, as well as academic present levels.

Jenny is a Licensed Educational Psychologist with a background in school psychology, university teaching, and training of special education team members. Jenny has a certificate in School Neuropsychology. She provides district and SELPA-level trainings on topics such as the Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses (PSW) Model for identification of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Multi-Tier System of Supports/Response to Instruction, and Intervention (MTSS/RtI2).
